A milliradian is an angular unit, not a metric one — a common misconception. Mils win on communication and on arithmetic under pressure. The case against mils for a purely American hunting rifle is real. Factory ballistic charts, zero recommendations and most range conversation are in inches and MOA, so a mil scope means translating other people's data. If you shoot PRS, NRL or anything with a spotter, take mils. If you hunt and your only reference material is printed in inches, MOA will cost you less friction.
